As a good photographer, you want to know that your prints are being delivered to your customers with the color and tone that you expect. To achieve this level of security, you can soft-proof your images before they go to print. Our printers are calibrated regularly to achieve consistent color each time you have your order processed. We've developed an ICC profile which allows your computer to understand exactly how our printers process color. If your monitor is calibrated, using our ICC profile allows you to edit your photos under the most accurate conditions.
Download our ICC profile for use with Adobe Photoshop. To install, save the Printroom.icc file in the appropriate folder to your computer (see chart below)
|Save the Printroom ICC Profile to the proper location:|
|Win98, Win98SE, WinMe||C:\Windows\System\Color|
|Windows NT, Win 2000||C:\WinNT\System32\Spool\Drivers\Color|
|Mac OS 9.x||System Folder>ColorSync Pro|
|Mac OS X||<Library>Hard Drive>System>Library>Color Sync>Profiles|
If the ICC files are not in any of these folders on your computer you can find
the correct folder by searching your computer for *.icc.
|When in PhotoShop, do the following:|
|Device to Simulate:||Printroom.icc|
|Do NOT select:||Preserve Color Numbers (leave the box unchecked)|
|Select:||<Library>Black Point Compensation|
At this point you can name and save this proof setup for future use.
You can view and edit the image while in the "proof" mode and see immediately how your corrections will be reflected in the final print.
