Earl Orf Photos > Mammals

Canadian Lynx  This cat of the far north is well adapted to the harsh environment. It has soft, thick fur which protects it from the cold. It also has large furry feet which act like snowshoes. It is the mascot of our Minnesota women's professional basketball team.

Wolves  The Timber Wolf is a top-of-the-line predator. Here in Minnesota we have the largest population of Timber Wolves in the lower 48 states. It is also the mascot for our men's professional basketball team.
