GEORGE WASHINGTON UNIVERSITY CONFERS A DOCTORATE OF PUBLIC SERVICE ON KOFI ANNAN  He talked about the relationship between the UN and the US. He stood under the flags for both. He talked about Israel, Darfur and the need for people to act or be guilty for whatever will be. Then he left.

GERMAN WORLD CUP BROTHEL HEARINGS  Sometimes I wonder how legislators let balls drop. While Smith and Tancredo worry about brothels in Germany during the olympics, they are overlooking brothels of illegals by illegals for illegals working the migrant fields on US soil side of the border.

G GORDON LIDDY AND THE FIGHT RING  The only way I was allowed to photograph his ring was if I listened to his story of the fight ring. He earned it in prison. Cut from simple metal it saved his life and cost the men who challenged him to fight.

SENATOR FEINGOLD SPEAKS OUT AT THE NATIONAL PRESS CLUB  Russ Feingold is trying to rally his peers to censure the President. So far he has another on board. Impassioned he adessed a democratic audience. That is an audience of democrats.

THE FIRST LADY AND THE QUEEN OF JORDAN FUNDRAISE FOR SESAME STREET MIDDLE EAST  The USAID funds the global educational program, it seems, for SESAME STREET, the home schooling, of sorts, for tiny tots sort of making the tv show a voice of America for the toddler set. They spoke to the Arab League audience. The hall was overflowing.

THE PRESIDENT HONORS AMERICANS WITH DISTINGUISHED AWARD MEDALS  They came from different walks of life- boy with an ST score of 800; a man who received aid from the Salvation Army when he arrived as an immigrant and now he is management; and two women from DC one of whom told the president to bend for advice...

AUSTRALIA PRIME MINISTER HOWARD ARRIVES AT THE WHITE HOUSE  Prime Minister Howard and President Bush like each other. It shows in the camaraderie they share beyond leading two countries in a war against a phantom enemy threatening their citizens. They spoke in the East Room. That night they dined amidst friends.

CODE PINK COLORS MOTHERs DAY WITH ROSES  Their signature is pink and dress up. Complete with a bagof dress up for willing participants, the women and men of Code Pink color their events in shades of rose. Cindy Sheehan announced No War and that Susan Sarandon is playing her in the movie

ISRAELs OHLMERT COMES TO THE CAPITOL OF THE WORLD  It was an aide who told me on the cue-t why world leaders come to DC, for cold cash, money. Ohlmert wants US dollars to reshape Israel's borders. Evict homeowners. The last batch remain uncompensated for their life blood, sweat, tears and loved ones lost.

AMERICAN IDOLS TOP TEN STOP BY THE OVAL OFFICE  The American Idol top ten stars tour stopped in Washington to perform at the Verizon Center. Taylor Hicks 9th grade english teacher is the First Lady's press secretary. The oval office was crowded with press needless to say.

IRAQ PRESIDENT al MALIKI VISITED THE WHITE HOUSE and THE CAPITOL  A Capitol employee expressed concern with having the Iraqis in the House. The real concern should have been with Code Pink an activist anti-war group. They interrupted the President of Iraq's speech. Maliki waved during his speech at a fly not people.

THE PRESIDENT EXTENDS THE VOTING ACT NAMED FOR ROSA PARKS AND CORETTA SCOTT KING  Most people dont relate to the significance of the act the president signed. A few decades ago blacks were denied the right to vote in some locales.

THE ROMANIAN PRESIDENT STOPS BY THE OVAL OFFICE  He arrived on the south side of the White House. He left the same way. The visit was a quick visit. One cameraman suggested all world leaders asking for money from America should pose with a Lottery sized photo op check to show how much they got. Cute....

TONY BLAIR VISITS THE PRESIDENT DURING THE LEBANON CONFLICT  Tony Blair was enroute to California on a visit arranged for long before the Lebanon conflict. He decided to route through DC to share his concerns at this time.
